A medical research company specializing in orthopedic products and devices with a focus on pediatric spinal disorders.
The company launched a breakthrough treatment for children suffering from scoliosis. They found themselves training their clients on the system. As the product began to sell exceptionally well, four key training issues were identified which needed addressing:
- a) Transfer of the technology required to deliver training at the client site in a real world application;
- b) The training capacity of several of their senior level resources as sales continued to grow;
- c) The expense of their current training process; d) Language barriers of their delivery resources.
FKA Consulting conducted a Training Needs Analysis and a Courseware Evaluation in order to address and make recommendations for satisfying the 4 ‘key issues’ identified by the company. Once the analysis was completed FKA Consulting provided recommendations for the redesign and development of their leader-led courseware.
The company was able to transfer the technology required to deliver training at the client site in a real world application. As a result of the application of a consistent instructional design and delivery methodology for their courseware they were able to reduce the need for senior level resources to deliver the training, thereby reducing their costs and overcoming the language barriers associated with the delivery.
