How long are FKA workshops?
Workshop length varies from 1 to 5 days in duration. Hours each day are usually 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
What do I need to bring with me?
For our Instructional Techniques and CTT+ programs you will need to bring any materials or props you wish to use for your practice teach sessions. All other materials you need for the workshops will be provided by FKA.
You may also wish to bring a sweater or jacket to the program as room temperatures can vary by facility.
Will I receive anything before the workshop?
Yes, each participant will receive a pre-course survey, as well as location and facility information. Pre-course surveys can also be completed on-line.
How many other participants will be in the workshop?
To maintain effective group dynamics FKA keeps all workshops at a manageable size. Generally programs do not exceed 25 participants. Instructional Techniques programs have a maximum of 12 participants per class. CTT+ programs have a maximum of 8 participants.
Who is my workshop instructor?
FKA has a number of highly qualified instructors on staff. All of our instructors are also course developers and have spent many years working in the training industry for diverse types of organizations. Our instructors are CTT+ (Certified Technical Trainers+) and members of training industry organizations such as ASTD (American Society for Training and Development), ISPI (International Society for Performance and Improvement), or CompTIA (Computer Technology Industry Association).
How do I register for my workshop?
There are four ways to register: Online by selecting the Public workshop Date at the side of the selected workshop page.

When do I need to pay for my workshop?
Payment can be made immediately by Visa, MasterCard or American Express. All payments for Instructional Techniques, CTT+ and CTT+ Boot Camp workshops must be received 3 weeks before the start of the workshop. Payments for all other workshops must be recieved 2 weeks prior to the start of the workshop.
Can I get a discount for my workshop?
Clients taking multiple workshops for FKA certification are eligible for a $100 discount on their 3rd and subsequent programs. 3 or more individuals attending the same workshop from the same organization are also eligble for a discount. Ask your FKA representative about the special discounts that apply to in-house workshops. (Discounts may not be combined.)
Are meals included with the workshop?
A continental breakfast is included each day at 8:00 a.m. for all public workshops. Beverage services and snacks will be available during the day. Lunch is on your own.
What kinds of resource materials are included?
Each participant will receive a comprehensive workshop manual, complete with decision tables, checklists and templates for use back on the job.
Is a follow-up service available after the workshop?
Yes, 1-year free post-workshop consultation service is available on all FKA programs.
Where does FKA offer its workshops?
FKA uses high quality facilities across North America. You are in a safe, comfortable environment for each and every workshop. Public workshops currently run in major urban centers across North America. These include: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington, DC, Ottawa, Toronto, and Vancouver. In-house programs are conducted all around the world.
My city is not on your list, will you offer a program there?
Based on client demand, new cities are added to the list. Check with your FKA representative for the latest locations. In-house programs can be run in any city.
Do you offer customized workshops?
Yes, FKA will customize any of our existing workshops to meet your needs. Your needs for a custom workshop can also be meet through FKA Consulting. This group will custom develop and deliver topics specifically suited to your organization's needs.

What training methodology does FKA use?
For 40 years, and applied to thousands ofsuccessfully completed training and performance improvement projects, FKA has used and continues to develop a robust Instructional Systems Design Methodology. It is the backbone of all FKA products and services.

Individual project length varies by requirements, level of effort, and deliverables. Projects can range from a few days or weeks, to many months or years.
What types of resources does FKA use on Consulting projects?
FKA Consulting's highly experienced project managers and consultants work collaboratively with you to determine the required project resources for your initiative. This may include subject matter experts from both FKA Consulting and your organization.
Will I get reports on my Consulting project?
FKA Consulting develops a work plan collaboratively with you to identify timelines, requirements, level of effort, resources, and milestones. All factors will be mutually agreed on before commencing any project. To ensure that you're kept up to date, weekly status reports are produced by the project leader which relate directly to the agreed on steps in the work plan.
At what location will my Consulting project be completed?
In these technology savvy times many project activities can be handled remotely or through the use of technology. Where activities are required on your site, they will be arranged to promote uninterrupted work flow.
What equipment will be required for my Consulting project?
