Jim Sweezie is the Vice President of Research and Product Development and a partner at Friesen, Kaye and Associates. Jim’s involvement with training and performance improvement spans more than 40 years. His expertise includes work with Fortune 500 companies, technology/telecommunications, government, and education sectors in the analysis, design and development, evaluation and validation of training programs and training software development. Jim has presented sessions at Training Magazine’s and the Institute for Performance and Learning’s (formerly Canadian Society for Training and Development (CSTD)) Annual Conferences. He has been actively involved in the development and delivery of technology-based training from its early years with the introduction of Plato, through the PC-based CBTs, to the current evolution into e-Learning. In addition to heading up FKA’s Learning Services consulting division, Jim is responsible for the development of a curriculum of e-courses and the implementation of FKA’s e-Learning platform to support their delivery.
Jim has a computer science degree from the University of Waterloo (B.Math.) and has an education degree from Queen’s University (B.Ed.).
